"impressive psychological thriller...reminiscent of Francois Ozon's "See the Sea," compatriot Michael Haneke's "Cache" or even David Twohy's "A Perfect Getaway," this atmospheric chiller has a genuine shot at international distribution." Variety
"A strange and often fascinating melange of Hollywood psychological thriller and German romantic philosophy...this broodingly dark and intermittently powerful film is highly evocative...Owing to its high production values, international ancillary sales, especially for television, should be excellent. A decent life on DVD also seems likely" Hollywood Reporter

Synopsis: Katja and David, who clearly live alone in the neighbouring house, draw Anton into an increasing vortex of emotional confusion–where sexual enlightenment, subtle seduction and surprising violence all play a part.
Following a nightmarish odyssey through the abyss of his own soul, Anton finds himself in an appalling reality.
Director’s statement: I wanted ‘WHAT YOU DON’T SEE’ to be a really archaic, emotional film. ‘WHAT YOU DON’T SEE’ looks into the abyss behind the idyllic façade of a vacation trip to show a dark dream full of enigmatic moments.
‘WHAT YOU DON’T SEE’ is centered on a single, major theme: what happens when a suppressed, sinister and inexplicable level of life errupts in a seemingly wholesome, secure world.
